Maryland Standardbred Breeders Association

The Maryland Standardbred Breeders Association (MSBA) is comprised of Breeders who continually strive to improve the Standardbred industry in Maryland. The State of Maryland officially recognizes the MSBA as the representative of Standardbred Breeders in the State. The MSBA holds a seat on the Standardbred Race Fund Advisory Board, assisting and advising The State Racing Commission on matters pertaining to the Maryland Standardbred Fund and The Maryland Sires Stakes. The MSBA also has one of the votes needed for all simulcast negotiations in the State of Maryland.

MONTHLY MEETING
The MSBA usually holds its meetings on the third Tuesday of each month at the VFW in Grasonville MD.

The MSBA has an active agenda including the following:

Publish and post newsletter online
Provide assistance and research to all breeding farms for improvement of the industry
Monitor legislation
Sponsor educational booths at various State functions
Plan and host annual MSBA Awards Banquet
Work closely with Maryland Dept of Agriculture
Develop overseas markets
Contribute to many charity event
Participate in Owners seminars held at Rosecroft Raceway
